Fairy Ring Math Board
Math boards illustrate geometric shapes created when counting, skip counting, multiplying and dividing.
- Tree slice
- Mini wood pegs
- White and red acrylic paint
Trace a circle on the inside of the tree slice. We used an upside down mixing bowl as a template.
Mark 10 notches equally spaced around the circle. Drill small pilot holes for wood pegs in each notch.
Paint the tops of the pegs red and the bottoms white. Once the red is dry, paint tiny white mushroom spots on. Allow to dry.
Insert the pegs into the pilot holes and secure with a drop of glue.
And now you have a perfectly magical place to teach multiplication and counting!
